    Equine Massage therapy:

A session begins with a (one time) history intake to familiarize myself with any injuries or lameness your horse has or has experienced.   Next, is a movement evaluation.  I will watch you lead your horse to and away from me at a walk and then at a trot.  This will help me to identify areas of restriction, tightness, discomfort or asymmetry in movement. Then, I will use several techniques, noting which ones are most enjoyable to him/her, as every horse is different, and perform an in-depth massage tailored to the specific needs of your horse.  The best follow-up to a massage is work!  Take him or her out for a ride!

    Pre-Event & Post-Event:

These two techniques are designed for the competitive horse prior to or following an event.  A pre-Event massage will assist the muscles to warm up and prepare for a specific event.  A post-event massage will relax your horse as well as flush the toxins and wastes from their muscles.

    Stretching:

Several techniques can be used to achieve flexibility as well as taught to the owner/rider assist the horse in maintaining his flexibility between visits.

    Canine Massage Therapy:

A session begins with a (one time) history intake to familiarize myself with any injuries or lameness your dog has or has experienced.  Next, is a movement evaluation.  I will watch you lead your dog to and away from me at a walk.  This will help me to identify areas of restriction, dightness, discomfort, or asymmetry in movement.  Then, I will use several techniques, noting which ones are most enjoyable to him/her, as every dog is different.  I will then perform an in-depth massage tailored to the specific needs of your dog.  A dog can be massaged more often then a horse and the follow-up depends on the injury.

If your horse or dog has suffered a severe injury please call your vet first.
